Parents who are in need of childcare this summer can find an affordable option just down the road.
Comal ISD again will offer its School Age Child Care (SACC) Summer Program to students, kindergarten through fifth grade, who will be enrolled in a Comal ISD school next fall (kindergarteners must be at least 5 years old on June 7 and enrolled for Fall 2021, while fifth graders may be incoming or have just completed the grade). The program is offered from June 7 through Aug. 13 (except for the July 5 holiday), Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
SACC provides a safe and fun place for participants to learn, play and grow. Educational and recreational activities include group games, guest presentations, indoor and outdoor play, healthy snacks and more. SACC will follow the current health and safety protocols of Comal ISD and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Protocols are subject to change as needed.
Weekly tuition for the SACC Summer Program is $160 per participant, plus a $30 registration fee per child (up to a $60 maximum cost per family).
Enrollment begins Monday, March 22. Enroll online through the SACC Parent Portal. If you're new to SACC, select the New Customers Open Account. If you already participate in a SACC program, select the Returning Customers option.
Convenient SACC Summer sites include the following elementary schools: Freiheit; Garden Ridge; Hoffmann Lane; Indian Springs; Johnson Ranch; Kinder Ranch; and Timberwood Park. Register soon – some SACC sites may reach their enrollment capacity quickly.
