American University, Washington, D.C.:
Weston Santleben attended the National Student Leadership Council in June and July. He studied Law and Advocacy. While there the students learned the inner workings of the court system, prepared and tried a murder case, went through a ropes course, and toured the D.C. area. Weston was the prosecuting attorney and delivered the closing statements.
Stanford University Summer Session:
Matt Smith completed an eight week summer college session at Stanford University, from June 23rd through August 19th. Matt was one of 350 up-and-coming seniors from across the country who were invited to attend. He participlated in three undergraduate classes—Calculus, Social Psychology, and Public Speaking (taught by a trial attorney).

WAY TO GO PALS! The SVHS PALS attended a National PALS workshop in January, 2007. They presented 4 sessions on service projects at the event - the only PALS group to present at the workshop.
